This is London, understand this now, we have always been here. When the Romans came, we had been waiting, when the Saxon’s built their settlements, we travelled with them. When fire ravaged the dry timbers, it was us who quelled the flames. As London sat, the bright shining jewel at the heart of the Empire it was us who drove the works projects and built this city around you.

I don’t say these things to brag, I say them to remind you. This is a city of history and wonder, this is a city where the inhabitants still believe in magic, where the flame still burns.
